What would you like to learn about and discuss at LitTalks 112? Since this is an edcamp, don't feel like you have to stick to a traditional presentation model. What are LitTalks 112?

For the teachers by the teachers: LitTalks 112 is an unconference/edcamp model hosted in District 112 North Shore School District. 

Attendees can be seasoned veteran teachers, new hires, out of district teachers, librarians, ranging from those serving early childhood to middle school. This conference is intended to rejuvenate your spirit, inspire you to try something new this year in regards to literacy (your own as well as your student's), and bring you back to the basics of one kid one book at a time. 

When you arrive in the afternoon you will have an opportunity to chat, enjoy a snack and some beverages (non-alcoholic of course), and begin brainstorming ideas of what you might want to learn during this evening. There will be a blank session board posted in the room. Once you have decided upon a topic to learn about or to teach about, you must announce it and bring the filled out card to the scheduling table. If you are unsure about what you might want to do, just wait and see if a session you want to attend will go up on the board and attend that session. 

There will be 3 - one hour long sessions during the evening with a break for dinner after the first session. If a session you attend turns out not to fit your needs, simply exit and go to a session that is better suited to you. This is called the two foot rule. Plan on meeting a few new people, learn from others that are passionate about teaching, and be ready to talk and listen.
